We are now in April of this new year, 2024, which is also the Year of the Dragon in the lunar calendar, and Chinese New Year. The closer we get to “wedding season” the more I am being contacted to officiate weddings.
It’s exciting and an honor to be asked to officiate, and trusted to help make a couple’s day pleasantly memorable. I love it! But did you know that I offer more than officiating services? If you need suggestions, or you have questions about any aspect of your wedding, I also work as a wedding consultant. In this role, my main goals are to help lessen your stress, save you money, and help you get and stay organized. This is part of helping to lessen your stress, as well as it also contributing to saving you money. My wedding experience, organizational and event planning skills, and attention to detail help me to help you simplify your planning. It doesn’t have to be as stressful as people make it. Let me share tips and techniques to help you enjoy the process getting to, and creating one of your most important days!
In addition to officiating, and consulting, I also have a performance background, including standup comedy. The latter led me to hosting and emceeing, which helped me to gain experience as a wedding reception emcee. So, if you need help in this area, especially if you don’t have a Day of Coordinator, consider me for this role too. I can help things stay on track and flow easily, keeping the energy high, and the experience upbeat and memorable.
In addition to my skills, I love animals and kids! So, if you want them to be a part of the ceremony and celebration, I can add some creative ideas, and support here too. Just ask!
While it may not seem to tie in, I am also a certified meditation teacher. Not only does this focus help me to stay calm, but I can share techniques that can help you too. Another possibility is adding a short meditation during the ceremony to assist everyone to relax and focus more in the present moment. This can help guests, the wedding party, and most importantly, the highlighted couple of the day to enjoy the event and activities more fully.
