Happy Holidays! Whether you celebrate a particular holiday or not, this time of year can be a time of gatherings. Perhaps people you see often, or those you haven’t seen all year, or for years! These special group festivities can allow for an easy addition of a wedding. Have you considered that? Everyone is already there. So why not get married?!
All you need to do is make sure you get your legal paperwork at least three days prior to your desired wedding date. You can get your paperwork from any county in Washington State, even if you are planning on getting married in a different WA County. Some offices are still closed to the public and so a little extra planning may be needed to make sure you receive your license in time. Some county offices have reopened, however. I have listed three options below.
King County Marriage Licensing – Closed to the public, as of 12-8-2022, but they are available to help you over the phone or through email. You can start your licensing process online, or ask if alternative methods are available.
Snohomish County Marriage Licensing – Offices are open, as of 12-8-2022. Their website asks that you arrive at least 30 minutes before they close so that you have enough time to finish. You can also apply online.
Pierce County Marriage Licensing – Offices are open by appointment, as of 12-8-2022. You can schedule an appointment for in-person services, or apply online for your license paperwork.

The only other things you will need will be your two witnesses that can be anyone 18 years old or older. Then, an officiant. That’s where I come in! Want to get married this holiday season? How about the start of the New Year? Whether in 2022, or 2023, I am here to support your vision. Congratulations to you both, as you move forward to this next exciting step!
